I personally like FW, but only because Salt is so much more difficult to maintain, take one look @ Canuck's monster Moray Eel though and it might change your mind LOL

Thats a assumption why is salt so hard to maintain... Has anyone who has ever said that kept salt?

That is not actually an assumption, that is my personal opinion from having done so. As for your second question, yes......I kept salt tank's, and the upkeep is more tedious IMO.

You're sitting at a bar in California. You're surrounded by saltwater. It's relative to where one goes to have that drink. If you were in a bar in Minnesota (The Land of 10,000 Lakes) you will get a lot of talk on freshwater monsters. Even in Minnesota, they won't be telling stories about large Amazonian fish such as Arowana or Gigas. You have to remember that you're a hobbyist and you have much more knowledge about fish than the average Joe. I love to watch documentaries on fresh or salt water fish, although I really get excited about freshwater monsters. I've never had a salt tank and I never will, but I know that saltwater fish are bigger. The oceans are larger than our lakes and rivers and they house big boys. The average Joe thinks "Ocean" when asked about monster fish, and that's OK.

I've saltwater fished only once, off the coast of Montego Bay, Jamaica. It's exciting . . . I've also freshwater fished in various places in the USA. Saltwater fishing is more fun. But, freshwater fishkeeping is more fun, for me.

Come on folks. . . He's correct. Saltwater fishkeeping is more time consuming and tedious.

I agree it is also basd on the person. Usually about how much they want to do to make there tanks look great. Not saying u can do little and have a great tank.
