There's something to be said about accurate information. People can decide what they want to do. There's a long thread about this since people were sharing what they do vs. what it says on the bottle. Plus it's a slow day...
 
I always put my new water in a bucket and dose them pump it into the tank. Not too much extra work and peace of mind for me

how big is ur tank that u still use buckets? my tank is a decent 270, cant imagine doing bucket water changes with that tank.

I hate bucket changes on my 70, never mind a 270

And I agree with DN328, there's something to be said about accurate information. With the number of people on MFK, tap water parameters will vary greatly and what may be safe for one member, may cause a disaster in another members tank.
