Also very concerned that silicone does not bond to the permidri...... That's a let down for sure...

The "work around" in getting the viewing window to seal, using silicone, when you are using liquid rubber is very simple. You simple apply fiberglass resin to the viewing window frame area, silicone the viewing window in place, and then apply LR up to the edge of the silicone.

But that is not a true seal.... That is just storing the water between the silicone and liquid rubber in tiny pockets....?

Doesn't sound so promising for long term..:: seems like over time the water will get between the 2 silicone and liquid rubber and deteriorate the fiber glass and then the wood.... Followed by massive tank failure

This is again going in a brand new home and I cannot stress how important it is to be perfect! It will also be framed into the house as it will look built into the wall.

Is there any products that are 100% reliable for long term and performance? That will completely seal the tank and completely bond to silicone

Don't think pond armor will bond to fiberglass without being sanded. But that is a good question for Butch at pondarmor.com

Silicone bonds perfectly to epoxy and pond armor.

Pond armor is not zavlar/Permadri It's a potable water approved epoxy. Those others are what is also refered to as liquid rubber.

order a pond liner and call it a day....Especially because at some point in time that tank is going to flex. I use fire stone epdm 45 mil and "gold label" aquarium and pond sealer.... Amazing product and its worth every penny. My 650 is liner and acrylic but the product sticks to just about anything such as wood, stone, rubber, plastics and metal. To my own disbelief you cant even tell theres a liner in your tank, its extremly easy to get all the creases out. Hope you change your mind and choose a liner but goodluck with whatever you choose
