Someone I know had a very badly damaged frontosa. They used methylene blue and tada! Everything solved. Perhaps it might be a good idea with this oscar...

I would make sure that you keep the water really clean and Oscars ae really hardy so i hope everythign works out for you
everything is really up to luck because im at school and can not do much to here being 80 miles away
Super Clean water is the key. My Freddy had a similar gash on her about 3 weeks ago. Nobody else was worse for wear or scratched so best i could figure she nailed the edge of the internal overflow and tore herself up pretty good. I upped the water changes dosed with a bit of salt and she's has healed up nicely.

My Giant siamese barbs get there head scraped like this all the time from hitting the edge of the opening of the plexi tank but its always on the heads. Its odd that the scraps is on there sides and not do any damage to the dorsal fin. Hopefully it heals without any scars.
Hope she heals up soon. Have you sanded the edges of the filter down. The scar tissue she gets from this wound is going to make it easier for her to re injure herself.. maybe worse next time.
