Seeking: General Stingray Knowledge.

motoros grow pretty fast, and will out grow a 125 in about a year... depends on how big they are when you get it... but they are amazing fish to have
125 will work and it sounds like you have been studying...but you will need a bigger tank soon...in my brief experience they are very easy as long as you have a lot of water, non aggressive tank mates and do frequent water changes....and get a healthy one. make sure it eats.
Ok, So how horrible is the sting from a stingray? Can it be fatel? Or is it similar to a jellyfish sting? I know they say they usually do not lash out for no reason and have to be provoked to sting, but it I am cleaning the tank what would happen if I get stung? Another thing I haven't seen much on, is their sexual maturety, at what age do they begin breeding? In the wild are they like most shark species, do they live in large groups or are they more solitare?
How would I determine if it is health enough? Are they any physical signs I look for to help me determine the shape it is in?

I would go with a motoro...THey are not the smallest though.
For health, look for a ray that eats and does not show any hip bones, or a dent between the eyes.
