Goldfish store oxygen as a complex molecule to survive the hot weeks of summer. Once the supply is gone, they suffocate if conditions don't improve.

Did anyone here click the link and read the comments by Japanese people?

It's not a fish tank.

It's a restaurant fryer with water at the bottom to collect waste which would normally contaminate the oil and shorten it's life. It's a great invention. The fish is just there to prove that it is water at the bottom.

Fish do not live in there. Ever.
One has to wonder of all the experiments why the nerve they are using a fish to prove something. It's a common knowledge oil and water do not mix.

I'm curious how they got the fish in and also how are they going to get the fish out. When fish die they float to the top of the water (unless there swimbladder is punctured) if dead fish are lighter then water and so is oil I wonder, is the fish also lighter then oil or does it sit between the two liguids until the fryer is next cleaned. I understand the fish will not be in the fryer on any normal basis. But that particular fish is so what happened to that fish in that fryer. I wonder???????
