should have said no my plecos are the oldest.
I wondered if there was something seriously wrong any way because of how he was swimming he would go almost sideways in each direction as he swam like a rolling motion back and forth. Thought it was the torn up tail fin makeing him have trouble keeping upright.

Bichirs have alot of mystery, one night they are fine eating and swimming good, next morning they are dead or ill. Cant really tell what happens to them till you see it.
Only the third one I have personally lost a runt that never grew and got eaten My huge male that jumped on me (was 12 inches when dried out) and the albino. wife said when the other male Had hold of him he slammed him into the glass and stone in my tank.. maybe an internal injury.
After I got him I decided he was my last albino fish the lack of eye sight makes them almost helpless.

Probably not at this point. once the 4 I still have finish growing and I get the cichlid swarm in the tank it will be quite full. Ill get some pics up soon the new scape has so many hides and sight breaks its nuts. and the drift wood has made a raised ground level 4 inches from the top the bichirs are loving that so far.
Would have em up already but its going into a holiday week and working for a major beverage manufacture its crunch time. Will try to get some up tonight.
