there are many high end custom manufacturers that will make tanks for better prices than that. My staphire 36x34x26 tank by Maricles was $880+ ship.

You don't need shipping if your local fish store sells perfecto tanks.

thats rediculous. u can get one on glass gages for less than half that

some of us would pay over $1500 just in shipping to get a tank shipped to us from glasscages.
some of us wouldnt dare to buy a glasscages tank after all the horror stories we have heard.
some of us dont have "cheap" custom tank manufactures around.
some of us enjoy being able to drive to our lfs, and buying a huge tank at anytime, while also supporting the local community.

idk where your getting a 1200$ diy project from, but it'd be much cheaper to make it, just more time consuming.

dont forget the shipping charges for when you buy it.

on another note..

wonder how much the 48X36X27 200 GALLON cost.

1200 as in making everything myself. Bigger than 6ft though.
