I was helping my buddy move his 150 a few years back, he had a seizure mid move, droped it, broke it and he flopped around on broken glass before I could drag him away from the mess but it still opend his leg up pretty bad. He ended up getting 70+ stitches. He didnt remember a thing, just woke up to me putting a turniquet on his leg screaming WTF! by far my worst aquarium experiance ever.

^ That sounds like a pretty serious accident...

We have a winner. That really sucks sorry to hear about your buddy.

I got ring worms rash on my skin that I had no idea about until I went to get it check out. My skin was flaking away for no reason in the duration of 1 month. Later, I knew I needed to get a medical examination. The doctor said it was either fungus or bacterial growth. I went online to research and found out it was a ring worm infections. The cream the doctor prescribed work like magic. If you spend a day working on aquariums I highly suggest taking a shower right after. Do not wait because you can get infections.

I scraped my fingers with a small hand saw while cutting up driftwoods. On another forum some dude was scoring acrylic with a knife and ended up cutting the tip of his finger. You can see pics on reefcentral.com

PLEASE PRACTICE SAFETY AND TRY NOT TO HURT YOURSELF. THIS IS A HOBBY NOT YOUR LIFE.

Err, sorry to hear about your buddy.

didn't some guy get the barb of his Ray in his arm on here a while back, not me. a few bites from fish thats it.

I had a 12' tilapia and put my hand in the tank one day and he got me from knuckle to knuckle across my whole hand,Needless to say my whole tank was blood colored before I even got my hand out of the tank.SO BE CAREFUL ONE DAY YOU HAVE NO PROBLEMS WITH YOUR FISH AND THE NEXT DAY THEY TURN ON YOU FOR NO REASON!!!!!!!

:WHOA: A 12 foot tilapia!? This I've got to see :)

Seriously, I also have a foot long tilapia and when they bite my fingers/hands, it doesn't really hurt, almost like a normal cichlid "bite". No blood, no marks. Yours must have been a mutant of sorts, seeing how it has grown to 12 feet :D

I got 4 stitches from my jeweled moray eel biting me. and ton's of other things lol

Oh my gosh. Your friend has had the worst I see. I've had nothing yet. I hope to have nothing. Though I'm sure I'm more probably going to throw my back out lugging dirty water than I will getting severely injured by a cichlid. ;)
