Yeah i was thinking that.
I've been trying to ID a few species @ my LFS but I just cant find them.
Does anyone know a good african site that has picture profiles?
or the likes?

one that really got my eye, was a cichlid that was reddish orange with yellow egg spots on all of the fins w/ some on the belly.
beautiful fish :)

I live in the upper peninsula of michigan the tap water is 8 or 8.5 coming out of the tap and very hard 350+ my discus have no problems with it i treat with wardleys ph 6.5 and the only water changes i do are monthly everything else is just refilling what evaporates off

hey everyone.
so im beginning to set up the tank.
its a 120 gallon.
i have a 250 dollar one time creditcard to my LFS
i think i have all the equipment so that can mostly be used on LIvestock and plants!
yes!

so heres whats up.
it has a UGF with gravel.

im going to get some nice rocks in there.
maybe some live plants....

now for the animals.
im kinda thinking of doing a south american tank.
what do you think?
heres a list of fish i think would look cool

Shovelnose-Lima or Tiger
Peacock Bass
Archocentrus sajica
other cichlids

idk. im pretty lazy in finding more species.
can anyone think of some cool american cichlids or fish to put in there?

Get some Pink Convicts they will breed in no time, that will be fun to watch the parents protect their fry from other fish rather entertaining and fun to watch

im actually doing a native tank for with another student.

this is going to be tropical.

i dont want cons because they are way to aggresive towards other mates when breeding, and they do that all the time!

go for prehistorical fish or natives:headbang2 .....
