If I did go with sand what do you think of the QUICKRETE 50 pound play sand at Lowes is this o.k.?
playground sand is very fine and a total PITA. Use pool filter sand....only $8/50lb

I'm in Montana where winter can be up to 9 months l9ng so very rare to see any pools here at all.

Check out hot tub and spa dealers in your area, they will likely have some. I am quite a bit North of you and have no issues finding Pfs

Red Flint Gravel http://www.redflint.com/ also has a couple fine grades that are sand that many people use.

I have my 125 on cinder blocks stacked 3 high with doubled up 2 x 6's for rails and it is more than strong and stable enough.

Does any body know if you could make a double stand for a 125 like this, with the tanks completely over the span, and the ends of the tank not over the cinder blocks?

If your worried about cinder blocks being 15", you can turn one side ways to the inside behind it and it will give you about 23" or if their available in your area you can find half blocks which would also give you a little over 23".

Yes, I am talking about two tiers, one tank on top of another. Anyone know if a 4"x 4" post for rails would work, with the tanks completely over the span?
