when i had my 7fter 6 mnths ago i had big fish like peacock bass and gars and filtration was 2 ehiem 2262 bucket filters with 40 per cent water changes weekly and had no problems at all,a sump is a good idea and makes it easier for maintenance,i hope it all goes well for you.
