Settle a dispute.. Not a festae right!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The only thing I find odd is the "y" pattern that I have not seen on uros but is present on Festae.

It is a some what odd striping pattern on the left side of this Uro. But still very opposite to a festae's y-bar. The short bar on a festae is closest to the head and attatches to the adjacent bar around eye level.......this fish like any other Uro, has the bar closest to the head coming all the way down into the area beside the gill opening.

I work at the store this fish came from. This one looks odd compared to what I've seen. Segrest sent us these as red terrors. I've been skeptical though.

Yes the barring is what got me confused too. He does have aY hopefully i will have more too compare too later. There is also alot of blue in the bottom fins. so for now....

Thanks BC for the explanation. It is an odd marking but an Uro none the less.

Id be willing to bet that it is an Amph of some sort, and that it is pealing/morphing, whatever you want to call it. Definitely not Festae and really does not look Mayan either.
