Hopefully it lasts through the winter. Depends on how hot we keep the house. We have two stoves, but 83 degrees is too hot--almost have to open windows to cool off. 70 is comfortable. Very dry heat. Above 70 degrees I have to run 3 or 4 humidifiers to keep the humidity at 50% or higher (for my musical instruments) And when I have to do that, I need to run two distillers to keep the humidifiers in water. Pain in the posterior...not to mention dealing with firewood is messy and dirty. I will say, though, that we had a furnace, and even with floor registers in every room, the house was cold. We got a Monitor heater which left us even colder. Going back to heating the old fashioned way with wood stoves made our house warm (or hot) for the first time.

very close on the price. I think I'll do a cost analysis next spring--we would probably come out ahead running electric heaters in every room...I still have to pay to have the wood moved around to the back of the house and stacked.
