not knowing anything about reptiles whats wrong with that is it something to do with the large belly ?
The reason its belly is so large is because it has swallowed sand and hasn't passed through and gets trapped in its belly.
poor thingOk, well all know things oxidize. Another more common word is rust, used when talking about metal. Now, calcium is a metal, it to oxidizes(losing potency) and may be worthless to the gecko.

on a side note,are we sure its not egg bound?Also with the MBD if that came first wouldn't it make it more possible for sand problems to occur because I honestly rarely hear about this ever happening if the animal was healthy at start.I know it was not healthy to start because of its tail size but that could either be because of never being fed which I wouldn't be surprised considering the mbd or it could be the intestines not moving food .Im just wondering if when healthy,how often does this happen.Sandfire dragon ranch breeds all the beards on sand by the way,I talked to them and they say they never have issues and you know they've done this for an awefull long time.On another side note,I cant believe this is happening again,lol.
