Ryan plants aren't really that hard to keep. You just have to keep the soil lightly moist and provide adequate lighting. It's also good to do a bit of plant research first. Some plants are harder to keep alive than others. I have aloes and jade plants in my leopard gecko tanks and they are practically bulletproof.

I don't know. My plant streak isn't very good. I may try it soon. I am starting my collection over in a month I may make it natural since I will only have the 20L set up.
 
is jade edible? i might put some in with my tort after the chicks and hens get big enough to coexist with that eating machine

I'm not sure if it's edible but it is listed as a pet-safe plant. Some other safe, desert thriving plants would be Wandering Jew and Christmas Cactus.
