i have 3 juv. turquoise severums, varying color patterns, the largest is always black, the middle is goldish green with 2 stripes, and the smallest is silver gold with lots of black stripes..
they get weekly water changes, bi weekly gravel vac, all levels are normal. tank mates a 2 gouramis and a school of danios, white clouds and blood fin tetras. there is no fighting in the tank, everyone gets along great, fins all look gorgeous, the gouramis have their arm things intact..
the tank is 55 gallons, and has 2- 75 gallon filters running on it with an undergravel filter.
my question is this: none of my severums have bright eyes. they arent cloudy or dull, they are bright shiny black eyes. arent they supposed to be varying shades of yellow and orange>?
they are fed a HUGE variety of food, all are healthy eaters, they get earthworms, shrimp, flakes, cichlid pellets, tubifex worm cubes, blood worms, crickets, anacharis plant, boiled lettuce and brine shrimp (live) not all at once obviously, but they get everything at least once a week.
