I did the vent check last night and saw the 2 holes. The hole closer to the anal fin was larger. It looks like a female. Due to my quest for a solitary male , I returned that dovii today. There were 5 total in the tank with my return. They all looked the same except 1. The 1 different looking 1 had a different color all together , was the runt. It also had a more slender look. The pet shop guy netted it and did the vent inspection with me. From what we saw it looked like 1 hole. The butt hole. The other hole was so small it was prcatically invisible. We even checked all the other dovii and all had 2 holes arranged like my dovii I returned. The larger being closer to the anal fin. Here are photos of my new 2.5 in. terror. The blurry 1 was due to him showing attitde at the camera.
P.S. He had an attitude 20 seconds after he was released in my tank. He also ate like a pig immediatly after.
