So you think that a stunted 13" Pacu living in a 55 for 10 years that has had to go through ich, scars, diseases, power outages, bad food, no water changes, is remotely better than spending life in the wild were it can get the chance to live 40+ years, grow to 3 feet and actually have a decent life???

Obviously you couldnt give a f#%ck about fish walfare.

Oh these threads are so entertaining. Why do people come here to complain about Petsmart? Maybe it is that your unsure about your knowledge of fish and need reassurence. Possibly it is you have nothing of real quality to input to this site, but you just feel the need to post.

You are posting nothing new, everyone here knows this already. If you feel you really need to make a difference, then contact petsmart with your concerns.

Hmmmm.... that's a conundrum........
are the 80 years being spent in an 8' box alive? If not, I'd rather live 40 years out of the box. Then again, I'd want to live as short a life as possible in an 8' box. Although, I've never lived in a box and probably won't until I'm dead so what's the real difference?

Out of the 1000-2000 pacu in the wild maybe 1 would make it to adulthood. Personally I rather take my chances for a year or so in someones tank and have a 50% chance of survival for ~1 year than 1/2000 shot at making it in the wild.

"Personally", you are not the fish that has that choice to make, not that any fish really has a choice.

Who cares if a fish gets put in a tank thats a bit too small for them, they still have a higher live expectancy than wild fish of the same type SO STOP COMPLANING. If you are getting so worked up over a fish, why arent you making a fuss over feeder fish too? They are fish just like oscars, but i guess their small size makes them inferior in every way.

Long story short... GET OVER IT!
