How are you going to live in a box when you're dead?

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Oh man random kid online good quote, relates to the topic of petsmart fish in small tanks sooooooo well.

Why dont you guys go try to save some of the 10000's of fish that are dying from poor environmental conditions everyday insted of naging at petsmart.

Na... doesn't make for good ranting material:D

BTW...there's VERY little profit in tanks...actually fish are very very very very very very very very very highly marked up (although you have to account for a certain percentage of loss of course).

And customers do read the tags btw. Ussually only when they ask about a fish however. Heres a daily conversation -

"Are these pangasius catfish going to be good for my 55?"
"I wouldn't suggest them, they grow over 3 ft. and are very active...check out these pictus cats!"
"Wait a minute! The tag says they only get 12 inches!"

Yeah these Petsmart Threads are tiring I gotta say...even worse for me since I work for the EVIL EMPIRE...I just gotta get involved. There is no horse to beat at this point...Only a bloody hole in the ground... :)

cenecker, if my eternal, impenetrable darkness you mean miami, I would like to visit the petstore you work at. You seem like a great employee.

Or at least competent. Big difference :)

Who cares if a fish gets put in a tank thats a bit too small for them, they still have a higher live expectancy than wild fish of the same type SO STOP COMPLANING. If you are getting so worked up over a fish, why arent you making a fuss over feeder fish too? They are fish just like oscars, but i guess their small size makes them inferior in every way.

Long story short... GET OVER IT!

You need to :chillpill:

how old are you? why you in these fourms?

I guess Petsmart should call it a grow out tank,,hardly anyone puts a couple 1-2 inch oscars in a 100 gallon. It just looks silly...

Ive seen "tags" such as this at my LFS...the most humorous one to me was one about the Iridescent Shark...stated the thing maxed out at 9". This is a small mom and pop style petshop and all of their tags are horribly wrong. Their tags say that a Pacu will max out at 12" and Oscars at 10". Granted they have a 55G with 2 RTCs, 2 Bullheads, a Lima, 9 Oscars, 2 Frontosas and 3 Silver Dollars. Granted Ill give it to them the fish are all less than 4" but still. They have a nice 180G display tho...with a small group of Colombians and a young TSN(less than 10") but they have 2 8" Pacu shoved in a 55G...Id gladly slap those ****ers in that 180. Expecially since the purpose of the 180 is to "show people how large alot of fish really get" a nice concept but perhaps poorly thought out. Or not thought out...who knows? They also have 2 Reticulated Stingrays in a 15G long with blue gravel...they arnt fairing well Ive been tempted to buy them but havent done so yet. Point of my rambling being...Petsmart isnt the only place to blame for bad fish info, its everywhere. But to me I suppose the real fault is of the consumer for ignorantly purchasing things.
