Are you serious? First of all, your not even comparing apples to oranges(much less apples to apples). Your comparing apples to a coconut. Fish VS Mammal. Fish relay on instinct. Whales rely on instinct and the ability to learn. Orca's are second, only to humans in intelligence throughout the entire animal kingdom. In other words, they know what they are doing at all times. The only place these animals belong is in the ocean. Trust me, I'm no PETA type; matter of fact, I thoroughly HATE peta and consider them terrorist in their own right. I'm just saying whats on my mind i'm not flaming you. You'd know if I were.

Very true. They are so much more intelligent than fish. While I wouldn't go far enough to say second smartest, next to human, they're definatly up there.

It seems this incident was the trainer fault, she was laying down or crouching next to the whale in a few inches of water, where more then likely protocol dictated she should have been standing.

The more I think about the more I realize how irresponsible seaworld and the trainer where for using that whale given its history.

i dont think they are the third smartest animal,while intelligence level can be hard to place,im sure they have about the same intelligence as dolphins,which while in the top 10,are not 3rd.
