Reason for choosing this fish: Solid build and colorations
Interesting characteristics: Coloration and thick build, Nuchal hump

Fish: He's technically a hybrid, so I guess I'm in the wrong forum, but he's still my favorite cichlid.
Common name: Blood parrot
Region: CA/SA Hybrid
Size: Around 4 -5 inches
Reason for choosing this fish: He has the best personality of any of my fish. He acts like a ham when I pull out the camera, always comes out to greet me, and breaks up any quarrels that my firemouths/convicts get into.
Interesting characteristics: He stretches out his lips just enough to form a little smile when he's happy.

and really active,not as peaceful as most eartheaters.

Lol, Thanks! He's 14" and I really don't know how old he is! I've had him about 3 years. I think he might be quite old because he was quite big when I bought him! He really is my favourite fish!

reason for choosing:hes about 12 inches and mean.
Interesting characteristics:hes got some teeth on him an shares a strong bond with his mate that he could easily kill if he wanted to but lets her beat on him
