I have a 4" clown loach that has developed a strange habit. He'll dig up all the trumpet snails in the sand, and place them in a pile in the back corner of the tank. He doesn't eat them, or even try to, he just likes to round them up. As soon as he takes a break they'll crawl away, and then he has to start all over again. Maybe I need to provide better in-tank entertainment for my loaches...

My 7 clown loaches stay hidden for the most part. Every once in awhile one of my bigger ones will swim from one log to the other. In the mornings however, before there tank light comes on I can see 6 sometimes my smallest one will join in, swimming up and down in the front left corner, then zoom to the right corner go up and down, zoom to the left, etc. It's so fun to watch. Is there any ways to make them to this during the day?

Also I found it odd from what everyone says, but my clownloaches will not touch a cucumber I put in there.

How are you giving it to them and when?

I put a fork in it, and sank it, I let it sit there for a day or two, then switch it out. but I don't want to steal this thread, This is about crazy loach antics. I actually caught my big guy messing with a garlic clove i put in there today. he'd pick it up, race around the tank, then drop it, then pick it up race around the tank, and drop it, I thought it was pretty funny.

Sounds cool. Maybe you can put one of those shape puzzles into the tank... you know square in the square hole... we could start a genius loach thread
