Most of the plants in the big tank are silk or plastic. It's crowded and overdue to get dumped into my new 125 ( if I can ever finish the remodeling.)
I'm stuffing that tank with cover, because the fish are fighting. I have removed 4 fish to other tanks this week, but it's still a madhouse because there are 10 adults, 6 fry, one hybrid female (looked like a male EBJ to me!) and Big Daddy Buttercup, now 7" and ready to rumble.
Anyhow, the parents are protective helicopter fish, and that makes it worse.
Then there is only one sollution to that problemyou need a new tank

Helicopter fish is like a helicopter parent, and they hover over their fry and chase off the other fish.
Buttercup is the king of the tank, and sire to the six new hybrid Africans.
