Paid in full... awsome movie! Camron was the ****

He definitely was but all 4 of the ones on the back wall are my favorites. My 8yr old pressed me about the Black Panther poster lol

Thanks, I'm curious which movie is your favorite? If I had to guess I'd say Training Day
No bro Paid in Full! I live by that movie, Money Making Mitch was my god growing up

the big kahuna the big kahuna I'm not sure I've seen any of those movies, but I do like movies. I'm more of a sci-fi, horror, comedy guy. Having a home theater is pretty awesome.

I built a sound system for my TV room with a thousand watts pushing 38 drivers in 17 boxes. You couldn't do this if you lived in an apartment building because your neighbors would gang up with pitchforks and torches and murder you.

But then, I haven't lived in a big city apartment in over 50 years so I can't imagine what it's like in the Big Apple (except through movies.) I am a total California suburbanite when it comes to relaxation.

This is more of the relaxation spot in my mind these days. It went from this:

Maybe someday you'll know the joy of tearing down your termite infested and useless chimney to install a new fish tank.

You can tell by the reflection that I was pretty relaxed in that last photo.
Second Corona . . .

Nice tank. My wife and I moved out of the city and bought our own home. Options for tanks are endless but I'm sure tearing

Nice tank. Not sure of the point your trying to make but I don't live in an apartment building and if I did, a sound system of that magnitude would be highly inconsiderate to my my neighbors. I'm born and raised in NYC but now I do with my wife own my own home in Connecticut. I have many options of tearing down or building up places in my home to house new tanks but I choose not to. Maybe I'm looking into taking your words the wrong way, but I just wanted to mention that not everyone that resides in NYC lives in apartment buildings. Also not gonna get into the logistics of my home theater system in my man cave but believe me the 70" tv and the surround sound system I have connected to it definitely exceeds my expectations.

Sorry, BK. Congratulations on Connecticut. You might fix your profile buddy.
It says you're in The City.

I'm not sure I was trying to make any real point except to extol the joys of living in the suburbs of a small western town, and my love of the home theater. If anything seems harsh it was not about you. I just don't like big cities.

You're kidding me about the apartment buildings right? Even Donald Trump lives in a (gold plated) apartment building.
;)

Now to Outsiders of course, New York City means Manhattan and we don't even think about places like Queens or Yonkers.

I've lived in several apartment houses and I did live in a townhouse for a while, many years ago, but it was still the same situation with the neighbors. Brick to Brick to Brick to Brick with not a blade of grass between them. I guess I consider it pretty much the same as apartment living.

The universal truth that connects all of those existences is that anywhere you live is better with fish. :)

And I don't mind dogs either. This is the view of the backyard from the main dog house.

When we moved here 17 years ago there was nothing in this backyard but dog poop, thorns, and 1/2 of an abandoned sprinkler system. But we bought it because of the location and not the backyard.

Now that I'm retired I really appreciate this and how much my work my wife & I have done out here over the years.
we're going to rip down these old awnings and put up some new shade over the patio, but all of that had to wait until the old chimney came down and the roof was repaired.

Glad we were able to clear that misunderstanding up. But I have to say that is a VERY nice backyard

I guess you can't really see it but in that photo above there are two doggie beds plus a pair of my wife's slippers that they have chewed up and left on the patio.
