i agree.

But having them to observe everyday, they show their colors. females usually pick a spot and stays around there being yellow. Males roam around in grey. But yes if I dont see it that way then we need more time to confirm for sure gender of course.

Another one on 2" on left. The one on the right is the original first pick female 2.5". I suspect both are females but only guessing..

I got a another umbee fry from different bloodline ready for one of them. Cant wait till I breed,another batch..

These are just food size 2" Fry im posting.. And females.

I agree, great things about these guys I've learned is if you don't have time to feed them, don't worry, they'll feed themselves. Mine love the take out the eyes of their tank mates priority to gutting them! Great looking fry!

For the record, there's ABSOLUTELY no way of accurately sexing umbriferas at only 2"....... Not even at 4" in most cases.

If you have superman vision and know fish with superman wisdom you can. Or something like that. Fish freek power. But if we can't maybe another person can if they dedicate to.

But this 2" right here is a male I assume.
