I can ask my lfs for A. Stalsbergi, for example, which his supplier doesn't carry. But I can order them from tuic. The petstores will also open accounts with the suppliers that offer them the best rates. And the those suppliers don't always have everything. Sure he could order them from a speciality site for me but I'll end up paying way more because the lfs has to make a profit too.

If I have to venture from my normal supplier to please my customer and keep the traffic coming in my store then that is what I am going to do. I may not even make anything on the fish. But while there maybe the customer will buy supplies.

The building he leased was also up for renewal... Assuming rates were going to go up as well..
 
shark aquarium closed in beginning of januarary was a great store and im pretty sure theowner himself has a MFK account, check out their facebook
 
This still upsets me. One of the best, lfs my 5yr old loved walking the isles.

Howie at aquaridise is a pretty cool guy. He onced placed and order with COA upon my request (i was trying to avoid the min order policy they have)

Absolutely fish ok what other lfs can you NJ guys recommend as there are none worth even strpping into in nyc

I'm guessing you have not been to Monster Aquarium.The Jersey faction on here always speak highly of it.
 
Ive called them a few times but they never had what i was looking for at the time. Im right outside nj so its eaier, dealing with all the traffic between me and queens ny is not fun

I literally just walked in from Monster and they are well worth the trip... I just bought a baby Leichartdi Aro for 70 and a 10 inch zebrina for 350- And Charney Charney got an 18 + Fire eel for 100....

We are going to plan a MFK Queens tour soon so keep your eyes out for that

Hah, I just checked their FB and saw you eyeing the 4 inch Albino Silver Aro's. Monster is a great little place and some of his prices are off the hook and his stock is always impressive. I told him he should become a vendor on MFK but he's so far stayed as a regular member. By the way did he give you a price on the Albino Aro's via pm? If he did mind sharing with me over pm. Don't want nobody snagging one before I can.

Edit: Oh and what size are the Zebrina and does he have any left?
