Yeah since it connected to a salt marsh. I would definitely suggest sticking with local species.

Forunately there are alot of species of sharks in the gulf coast. Many of which use salt marshes and estuaries as pupping grounds.

Along that part of the gulf there are lots of sharks: bonnetheads, black tips, sandbar, bull, tiger, 4 species hammerheads, sharpnose, nurse, black nose, lemon, Carribean reef etc..... Obviously some of them are too big, but hope that helps.
