for the fish's sake, they dont allow photography inside the aquarium :(

I took a bunch of pics. No one said a word to me or the hundred others taking pics.

Definitely worth the trip! First time i got to see real live stingrays, and they are large and beautiful. the dolphin exhibit was closed because it was january, and that explains itself, but the shark exhibit with the sawfish and blacktip in the basment is amazing. Especially with the SW rays and skates under the floor.

I could go on for days.....

I though it was a good aquarium, although I have been to one that was much better. the basement was probably the best part.

Overall, the tanks could have used a good scrubbing and a serious water change. Fun trip overall though.

Yeah, i forgot that one. They dont Flash photography, but if no flashes your good. I just remembered the part about the GF taking pics of me in front of the shark tank

I went during the symposium and I wouldn't make that drive unless you plan on sight seeing Chicago as well because I myself went through the the whole place like in 2 hours. So unless you like to stand there and look at each tank for long periods then its worth it.

You've got a solid point here. We were only there around 3 hours or so.

You should go see the Blue Man group too. That was a good time.

cant really control that one though......

I been there once, was not what I expected. My favorite aquarium is the Tennessee Aquarium in chattagooga. We spent the entire day there. They recently built another aquarium next to the original. We worth the trip.

Got back yesterday. Very nice aquarium. I like that its an old one because everything there is well broke in. A couple of the tanks looked really over crowded but over all it was worth the trip. Seen alot of fish there that i havent seen at other aquariums. If you all would like to see some pic we can post later on. Thanks for the info and we had a good time.

id say the most crowded tank there had to be the amazon tank with the gigas in it.
