I just got back from the shedd aquarium in Chicago. I took some pics of the awesome rays that they had. Enjoy!

ive been there and i can say that it is the best public aquarium ive ever been to, nice pics

Great pic's I am going there next thursday thru sunday with the family. I have 2 boys (4 & 6 yrs old)and I cannot wait to take them there and the field museum.

I love Chicago, my wife and I have been going there 1 -2 times a year for at least 10 years now. I live near Detroit and that city cannot hold a candle to Chicago. When ever we see round trip flights for under $100 we jump on them and plan a trip. Michigan Ave, Cheese Cake factory, Giordano's Pizza, the list goes on & on & on.

Also,
What part of the Shedds had the Rays???

They have a whole section dedicated to amazon fish. It is on the right once you walk in. The tigers and the leos were anywhere from 24" to almost 36".

Awesome pictures!

Love all the wood in there with them. Often I think ray keepers dont give rays enough credit for being able to have any decor for fear of injury!

great pix i love monster rays thanks for sharring...

If you ever get a chance to go you need to. They raise and lower the water level in the tanks with the tigers and leos. The water was about 1 foot deep when I took the posted pics. We came back through about 2 hours later and the water level was about 5 feet deep. The simulate the rainy season. I took those pics with a flash right before I got in trouble. Flashes are prohibited.
