that is retarded... why whouldnt you just but a 500 gallon for 2,000 dollars then have a stupid peice of plastic?
A stupid piece of plastic ? You must not be a DIY guy. He could build something absolutely massive with it...

If you couldnt decide whether or not to quite smoking for 2k , your deff not going to make anything. I'm a realist. The chances of this peice of plastic turning into anything amazing are doubtfull.

i actually just redid my 180 and built my own sump and pvc overflow. I love diy...

I would agree that you should look into a premade monster tank rather than tackle a diy project that will end up costing you a bunch more than just a 2500 buck chunk of plastic.

But quit. Tons of reasons to do so. Life is only one of them. Money, chicks, being able to sit through a movie without feeling the need to leave during the good part, not smelling, money, chicks, not having to stand out in the cold, not getting pissed when you can't find your lighter, not having to run to the store at odd hours, chicks, money and chicks.

There's more, just can't remember them causes I've been spending all my time with chicks since I quit.

I don't understand your reasoning behind that at all. I am not trying to be argumentative or anything but I don't understand how him having trouble deciding has anything to do with his abilities/ motives to create a monster diy tank.

quitting early is better than quitting when your old.. my dad quit when he was 36.. he's 59 now.. and he looks as healthy as ever... (aside from age...)

Smoking really puts years on you..

Hm.

If you don't have enough motive , drive , ability to quit smoking for something you love (fish), or a lot of money (2k). The chances of a monster fish tank coming from a peice of plastic are very slim. My thread would have started , " i quit smoking and my dad offered to give me a 2k peice of acrylic that i will be making a tank out of. Follow me in the DIY section!!"

If my parents said you can keep a 3' wide tank inside our house and pay for it i'd toss my pack out for good. I smoke and just the fact that i could keep a monster tank would be awsome. Thats why my new tank is 12ft long and 2 feet wide..... I couldnt go width so i had to stretch it as far as possible. Thats still only 360 gallons... but with a good foot print, that I'm paying for.

Not to be rude OP, thats my opinion. I think you would be better off setting up a deal for a new tank. Maybe a nice 535 , they are only 2,154 brand new :D. Then you could have the fun of diy making a stand. You get the best of each opinions lol...

My grandfather quit smoking several years before he died and was happy because he could actually taste his food again. Stay strong, smoking isn't worth it!
