Once you tell fed-ex that there is fish in the box, you get nothing. You have to lie, sucks but that the way of it.thefishguy7;2363711; said:USPS is supposed to cover livestock, they've screwed me a number of times, so I guess they have so many regulations regarding DOA, guaranteeing live arrival really doesn't help us, the hobbyists much. My first post was referring to UPS/Fedex anyway, I used the wrong term...sorry about that. UPS and Fedex are generally good about refunding money.![]()
Some Fedex locations do not permit shipment of live fish, if you're shipping at one of those locations, of course you won't get anything....you broke the rules to begin with. Other locations will allow shipment of live fish, they die because of them (not insufficient packing), you get a full refund. Proper evidence must be provided, you can't call and say a fish died, if it was that easy, everyone would be calling for their free 100$.Fish Room Plus;2363992; said:Once you tell fed-ex that there is fish in the box, you get nothing. Once you call in the claim and state live fish, its case closed, no money. They have a blanket, "no live fish", even tho its widely disreguarded, its there, no exceptions. I have gotten money years ago out of Fed-ex, but there rules have changed, no dice on a refund.thefishguy7;2364027; said:Some Fedex locations do not permit shipment of live fish, if you're shipping at one of those locations, of course you won't get anything....you broke the rules to begin with.
