I dont see amything wrong with picking up a rare oopurtunity to own a sb fish. if it came in accidently in a batch of normal fish i dont see whats so wrong about taking it home cause its cute. theres dogs with 2 ft long bodies and 3" legs and cats that walk on their elbows but breeding short bodied fish bothers someone? anywho, i love ur sb jade goby. ill give u $20 for it :P i have four short bodies convicts. i love them to pieces. i once wanted to buy a sb green terror but my hubby didnt let me :(

I have since moved out the con and firemouth to make room in my house. My doradid collection outweighs my SB fish collection. :)

SB paradise is kickin' it with his woman in a 20g hex. I should get a photo of him soon. Man, he's really pretty!

Nothing personal against you guys that like them, I just don't care for it personally.

As a fishkeeper, I enjoy biotope-ish setups with species you would likely see together in the wild (not insanely strict on this, but I like keeping SA fish with SA, CA with CA, etc), setting up a tank to replicate the way that habitat might look, and observing behavior. I don't usually name my fish and I don't keep fish that are "man made."
I like looking at my tanks and thinking that might be what it would look like if I went and stuck my head in a river down in ________.

I keep my furry pets as "pets," my fish are different. :)

I've seen a few pics of natural habitats and don't recall seeing pvc pipes... I did net some out of the bayou the other day.

J/K.

Nice fish...
