I am not trying to be a mean person, but as mentioned above, had it been a "runt", perfectly developed morphologically, then I'd have no problems keeping and even breeding the fish, I mean that's where line breeding comes in, right? For a fish to actually develop such a malformation, I don't know, is it pity, or what? The fish can get paralyzed if the malformation degenerates even more, and so on. Enjoy him as much as you can, and I hope he's not going to die.
