SOunds like everything is going in the right direction then. Seems like he was probably just stressed out with all the change.

Not much recovery from the stress that my FH had yet. Sorry for the delayed response, he looks scared I think. I have now put a black plastic cover tied up with two stones and he just goes and sits inside it. His eating habit seems to be normal. Sometimes he play roams around the tank but quickly gets back when I go near him and his fins move around quickly and stops moving. I'll try to get pics of his soon.

This still indicates to me that he is stressed (probably initially from losing his tankmate), and is wanting cover. I did suggest a while a go that you put things in the tank for him to swim in and around, as cover. That will certinly help in helping him to feel a bit more secure. Have you done that ? A picture of your tank would be useful.

Yes, I have added some gravel and few pebbles. He does not play with it. I will get some pics shortly here. He looks so scared. I have never seen a brave fella turn like this.

Unfortunately that does not necessarily make a reassuring environment for an anxious fish. THey need caves, wood, rocks, flowerpots, etc. SOmething to go in and out of, and around. Something with height that gives them a sense of security. Seriously, it will make a huge difference with a nervous fish.

Did you test you water? Ammonia and Nitrites should be 0 and Nitrates between 0-40. Try adding a cheap fish for it to beat up on, maybe he will come out of his shell. I really like it, really wish I had it.

As for the dullness in color, part of it is because you have a white back ground (wall) and white bottom (sand), white dulls the color while black darkens it. Get some black gravel for the bottom.
