it is selective inbreeding which is done on purpose to create a fish . hybrid maybe not but its bred that way on purpose and stands to ruin the captive population therefore should be destroyed

those short bodied peacock bass look like the cartoon square fish fillet with fins on the fast food commercials. i certainly wouldn't want one. and i would probably cull them if i saw them in a batch of fry.

I understand the selective breeding and the outcome of breeding like that but my fish was from a full healthy batch of fry and he was just the lucky one that came out like a midget. Everyone has their opinions I think he is BA but to each their own.
