Not agreeing with me is fine and even if I don't agree with some of the assessments of my actions, it's not a big deal but to make personal attacks on me for this?

I do agree with you on this. Lay off. Why call him a greedy only child simply because he made in our opinions a stupid move at a LFS. But it was only one guy making a personal attack, not the majority of the posters on this thread.

Fish were $30.00 each, 3 for $80.00, so I offered to buy the fourth for another $20, figuring that was fair. The owner wouldn't do it, he offered to go to $25 but absolutely wouldn't budge on the last $5.00!!!

I just don't understand. $80 for 3 comes out to over $26 each, so he did give you a slight break on the fourth at $25. In a $100 sale, $5 is only 5%. That's like saying you wont pay a penny over 71 cents for a 75-cent danio. It's a matter of scale. I'm not atacking you personally, just wondering why you would be so upset that you would drive home empty-handed and then post about it.

I can see where your mad. I dn't like feeling like I'm being jerked around. but at the same time the others are right by saying to tell th guy that you are planning on spending more.

In my experience Ihave found that the more you spend somewhere the better deals you'll get in the long run. I don't think anyone here can dissagree with that. once a store knows you. By face or better by name. You ar pretty much set. And if its locally owned and opperated OMG you're deffinitly sitting pretty.

Working at LFS's, Corporate or Mom&Pop, you tend to get burnt out with certain people. I know some of you that have worked at a LFS are thinking the same thing.
