Mine was a total freak...he would constantly race along side the other gars in the tank and porpoised every time he would take a breath. I wouldn't call him skittish...just a freak. Very cool gar though...I'm looking for another Shorty now.

i got 2 from him they are in a 165 with mono pbass clown knife and a yellow bullhead all around 7 -8 inches i also have a 23in in a 600 gallon with 20in silver aro 18 in f/gar 20in rtc and a 24in pacu they are all awesome together
bump. so freakin hyper. no other gar comes close to the hyperness of these. its awesome! they wont put on wieght though. no matter how much i feed them they wont put on wieght
bump. gonna keep bumping this as long as i have them. hopefully some of the other people with them will chime in. they are still hyper. no matter how hard i try i cant put wieght on these little guys. hoping to get them bigger but nothing. they constantly watch us at the glass. if we touch the glass even for a second, they are right there trying to figure out if its food. moving in about 2 or 3 days into a new house we just bought. let yall know how they move.
