Shortnose vs Gator

should have clarified. The trops will be grown out in a 40 gallon breeder then a 90 gallon for a while, then move to a 125 and then into the 400ish tank (or whatever it works out to be) until they are a comparable size to the others.

Jordan, are your tanks bare bottom or aquascaped? i've seen both and to be totally honest, I love the planted looks, but am wondering how hard it would be to maintain a larger tank like the one I have with all the protien in the diets etc and maintaining water quality for optimal growth/health?

my gar tank has gravel and driftwood in it.
 
tank is 1.5 hours out of town where I live...right now I'm at work (very productive day actually LOL)
