Who and where did anyone say that Sterling's permission is needed? They might need his signature here and there, but they most likely won't get that. This isn't Monopoly money we are playing with, lol.

This could wind up being a pretty short ban.
"Clippers owner Donald Sterling is battling cancer — surprising those around him by beating the final buzzer for as long as he has, sources told The Post on Thursday.
“They thought he would die two years ago,” one source said of Sterling,................
“People have been predicting his imminent demise..............
The source said some of the medication Sterling has been taking is responsible for the puffy appearance of his face.
Another source said Sterling, 80, was specifically suffering from prostate cancer."

It's kind of bad though that what his opinions were in private did not effect anyone in public, he never made public actions because of his racism. The only reason people even found out was because of a black mailing girlfriend. A true true racist would be far worse then Sterling, Sterling is a in his times that's how it was kind of racist.

1000 percent correct my issue is that this doesn't happen to everyone that deserves it .... not done accross the board... when you have players beating their wives, getting behind rhe wheel and killing people it just seems like these bans should be happening allot more and to allot more people.

That my friend is very very true, good point.

Reading and taking in everyones thoughts, I still don't see why the issue is so damn big. A fine at the most should have sealed the deal and maybe something positive towards the black community. Make something positive out of the negative that came out of his private convo. I can care less about the guy, his fam or cancer he has but I feel he is getting bullied now. Although I hope he recovers from his illness (before I am forced to sell my tank Lol).

Sterling is a loser and has already lost his team even though he owns it on papeer but the girlfriend youre whining about who invaded his privacy should go to jail

You cant say his comments didnt effect the public or the business because um well, they clearly did

The nba didnt invade his privacy and then air his comments

Theres speculation that he may have actually been recording his memoir since he knew he had cancer
