Should Donald Sterling be stripped of team ownership in the NBA?

Im just pointing out that you left out a piece of lees posts to better benefit your own point

Ive always considered him a self made billionaire after hearing about his upbringing and knowing the value of 13 mil 30 years ago...but you cant expect people to have sympathy for a man losing his hobby and cashing out 500 mil to 1.5 bil (itll go to highest bidder) for a 13 mil investment that hes done a terrible job of running. All the other stuff is irrelevant. I said from the get go the league would be better off without him just from a competitive nature let alone his negative views of his employees. Hes a blackhole on the nba landmark. Had he been well liked and run the team well, he'd not be in this situation right now. Its a culmination of all things in relation to the clippers and the NBA, not how independently wealthy he is.

Youre free to idolize his wealth though, just dont expect people talking about his impact on the NBA to care about it.

Lee's point of view is obvious...believe me, he has made it abundantly clear. Anyone following this thread can see exactly what he has said..or any of us for that matter. I took a quote from Lee which summed up how he views Sterling's business management..."Horrible". I used his words. He took my words and incorrectly reinterpreted them into what he believed them to mean and made them into his words. He is wearing his Lee goggles and their distortion is evident.

If you want to blame someone for the poor performance of the Clippers, blame Elgin Baylor. Or if you want to blame Donald Sterling...that's fine, but it should be for not firing him sooner...
BTW- Elgin Baylor's lawsuits were not just against Donald Sterling. He first sued the NBA and LOST. He then sued Donald Sterling and LOST. Their was no pay-off here, no settlement, NOTHING. Elgin went to court TWICE and lost TWICE. His BS was clear as day. Case closed...literally.


Just want to make it clear...I don't idolize his wealth...I just don't disparage it.

you are really adept at the art of deflection... AMONGST YOUR"cool guy "peer group that is probably enough ...even respected..but time and again , as a matter of fact EVERY TIME you are found to be wrong or say something" STERLINGESQUE" You go into writing in BIG .BOLD TYPE as a thinly veiled ATTEMPT AT DISTRACTION (look at what THAT guy says) ...didn't get the memo?.....deflection works on the simple minded and is often EMPLOYED by the equally simple minded,.and the other memo must have got lost,.the one about the subject of the thread...STERLING.. I sure am glad he had time to fit us in his busy " west bev" lifestyle ...truly , I couldn't have done it without him..lol
 
one thing I FORGOT to ask SKIPPY,,, HOW is the fact that MORE than half of STERLINGS wealth having come from a product that he was well WELL KNOWN for mismanaging(he would fire asst coaches & scouts in the off season.. just to save money) and NOBODY in the league wanted to work for him if given another reasonable choice ,,,how is this NOT the point...that's pretty much the WHOLE POINT (to those of not in" west bev"world)...the NBA got rid of him because he's a jerk that for years has been known as a jerk... not because of a recording...that was just the means to an end...I am sure STERLING CAN UNDERSTAND that type (means to an end )strategy ...he just probably hasn't been on the receiving end (bottoms up) very often:)
 
What does baylors lawsuit have to do with anything? I'm suppose to give Donald a pass on being the worse owner IN ANY MAJOR SPORT by winning percentage because of the team president he selected? Think of any bad team anywhere (jaguars, Cleveland browns, Milwaukee bucks, kc royals) and he's done worse?

kinda like the lottery "can't win if you don't play"...chasing wealth ...fun for all...not for me. got better ways of spending the day ...that anybody can"get rich" slogan.. is JUST THAT...campaign rhetoric...not reality... chasing wealth is just part of a great game some play... once again , not a game I play................ EDIT:I feel somewhat compelled to amend this post, don't really know if it was referring one of my earlier posts... IN case I haven't made it clear.. I really don't envy most rich people(I wouldn't mind being WARREN BUFFET)... BUT the prospect of having to wait on rude dicks , like "sir Donny of Clipperland" gets a little old sometimes , although there are plenty of good things about my job, guys like him weren't part of that good stuff ...so do I hate "sir DONNY"...YA...I had a full dose of that type for 25 yrs:popcorn:

No No No...forget the 13 yr olds...They understand...they get it...the BIG RED LETTERS are for you. Only way to get you to stop, think and listen for a second. They say the color red helps improve recall and attention to detail...two things I know you could improve on...

As for your forgetfulness...well, I think you forgot how to figure out percentages. But that's OK...I got a sec to teach you. His worth was last reported at 1.9 billion. Part of this 1.9 billion came from Clipper's value at the time of $305 million. That makes the Clippers only 16% of his wealth. Even if they are valued at a billion now (which increases his worth to 2.6 billion), it's still not close to 50%. Just wanted to make sure you understood how that works. As to your point...Who cares if he was a cheap jerk...Being a jerk doesn't disqualify you as being an owner...Even though there are 10 people who will tell you he wasn't for every 1 that tells you he was. Why do you feel so personally jilted by him? Or by anyone who has achieved any level of success? No one owes you anything yet your deep hatred for everyone who has accumulated success and wealth seeps through your words as if you have been wronged. What are these damages and why have they left you so scarred? You need to let it go...or try to move on...I hear your pain man...it's eating you up inside....
