LoL, that's funny. He has created a net worth of 1.9 billion...yet he is horrible at managing his businesses...:ROFL:Guess he inherited that money...uhhh...NOPE! Maybe he won the lottery..umm...NOPE....Maybe he made that money managing his main business...real estate...ding ding ding! Not bad for a terrible business man..where does that leave you or everyone else who hasn't created that much wealth? And please spare me the bla...bla..bla about the Clippers being the worst manged this and that...broken record...1.9 Billion speaks volumes over your opinions...It is obvious you hate the man and his wealth...we get it.
well let's see...HE bought the CLIPPERS for 15 mil. has the WORST winning %IN PRO SPORTS...FOR 30 YRS....and will sell for 100 times more than he paid.....simple minds will tell you that he must have done something right,,,,really?...nope he bought the CLIPS back when the league championship series was on tape delay , late night....and the league was on the verge of going under....ALONG COMES MAGIC...AND LARRY....AND MJ ..AND BARKLEY....AND THE WHOLE league flourishes on the back of the CELTICS-LAKERS rivalry from the 80's...(much of the CLIPPERS VALUE is in being in the LA market)and now his franchise is worth A BILLION $$$$...so HALF of his wealth was created by the people"he loves" so much that he couldn't stand seeing his MISTRESS HANG OUT WITH THEM.....he is a freakin' blind pig who got lucky and found the GOLDEN ACORN in spite of his obvious determination to ride his" anti-society in general" behavior into self destruction(he is just now unfolding before our eyes) ...now for the other half of his wealth...you think the capital gains of 30 yrs NBA OWNERSHIP covers real estate investments?...how is it that 1/2 of his total wealth rests on a product (as stated above ) that would have been better off if he would have DIED LONG ago ...sorry , pards ..I have seen to many guys who couldn't plan a trip to the bathroom ,get rich because they knew the right people at the right time (or got a loan in spite of sheer inability in the thinking dept, because they knew a banker "at daddy's club") wealth shouldn't impress..on it's own"merits" it means nothing...great men aren't measured by wealth, but the contirbution they make to society....as I recall MLK, LINCOLN, SALK(polio vaccine), and EINSTEIN weren't exactly "rich" but EACH one had more positive social impact than 50 STERLING'S could ever have....IDK, maybe it's just that I have heard one too many guys who spend $5000 a month at the country club, talk about how an increase of $1 AN HOUR MINIMUM WAGE for their 25 employees is gonna put them in the "poor house"...ya they might have to cut back to 2 rounds of golf per week while the employees "putting them "in the poor house" , cover their rears at work

its my understanding he bought them for 12 mil not that 3 mil make a big dif. not sure what Einstein and rest have to do with it. its a basket ball team. He is not required to make life changing discoveries any more than you or I, nor should he be expected to because he is rich. successful folks employ america. with out them we not have jobs. he loosing his hobby and rightly so. but lets not knock successful folks,

it's the equation that wealth = greatness that I am arguing against in that post ..my buddy rmkblades , told me in no uncertain terms, that STERLING'S wealth is a BIG reason of his success ( in my assessment he is NOT A SUCCESS , on a societal level), my opinion is also that wealth is not a measurement of success but a fortunate by-product ...I would consider the likes of EINSTEIN, FAR GREATER IN THE SUCCESS CATEGORY...it is my further contention that the MLK , LINCOLN types are constantly having to solve the societal problems the STERLING types constantly create

Wow, Lee...you have got some deep rooted issues you need to work out. You have been spited by this world in some way and I can hear the pain in your voice...A wise Yoda once said...

i have no rebuttal to this, it really not not make much sense to me. if he did not own a NBA team he would be a non defacto, that's whats making the press. not his wealth, but a NBA team owner.

no you are right.. the fact that he is defended , on the basis of his wealth , in this thread is to me is a joke... the fact that some people may take the guy who defended him seriously enough to give that post any credibility is why I felt it wise to respond .....I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST rmkblades on a personal level....but he posted that I (lp85253)"hated" STERLING and "rich people" for their wealth......that RANT was my rebuttal to using this ploy in defense of the overgrown pile of garbage that STERLING obviously is.... now back to our regularly scheduled programming.....:)

I only have one Hero and I am it.

not a bad place to start...

Actually, that's not what I said...at all.

Einstein...really...how about Aristotle, Isaac Newton, Leonardo da Vinci, Gautama Buddha, Nikola Tesla...spoken in jest of course...I mean really...if you are going to bring up Einstein...then don't forget to mention his genius was instrumental in facilitating the indirect development of the atom bomb. You don't seem to hold the same earnest dislike of a man whose science was used to create the single most destructive weapon ever known to mankind. I don't...in fact I see the greatness of the this country, the vast opportunities to create wealth and prosperity out of nothing and want to THANK EINSTEIN for allowing us to build the tools needed to defeat communism and be the the GREAT CAPITALISTIC COUNTRY that we are today. The same country that allows for people to become RICH and join COUNTRY CLUBS and BUY BASKETBALL TEAMS. And PLEASE, before responding as I know you will...WATCH THE YODA VIDEO ONE MORE TIME...Please...just let it go...release all that anger...feels good...deep breaths...deep breaths...
