I was reading somewhere that the ball club might be worth up to a billion. L.A is a huge market.

Check forbes. What its worth and what it can sell for are different. The bucks were worth 300 mil and sold for 500. Look at what the dodgers were worth and what they sold for. Its bidding. He could very well get a bil

Im the one who has said several times that it sucks it was a private convo.

Whats your point? The NBA doesnt want a known racist running a diverse team regardless of how they found out. Should they ignore the comments just cuz he didnt broadcast it to the world? Hes not going to jail. He didnt even lose a JOB. Hes being kicked out of an association. Its their right. Boohoo. He can take his billions elsewhere. Stop acting like he lost a job or is being taken to jail. Hes cashing out an investment

Thats a cop out " cashing in on an investment" same sport where guys brawl on the court in front of little kids. Do they get life time bans? Same players and coaches signed contracts with this racist now its a problem ? Please this is a joke

Why is that a cop out? I don't understand why you feel sorry for an old billionaire that will get compensated for getting kicked out of his association.

I repeat, youre whining like hes going to jail or lost his job. I assure you he'll be fine and could care less what any of us think. Hes filthy rich

That is the POINT...It's not like he became instantaneously racist the moment his private conversation became public. Donald Sterling was not the Golden Standard of racial equality (even though the NAACP was about to hand him a SECOND Lifetime Achievement Award)...He had federal indictments and many prior accusations of racism and bigotry prior to this. Where was the NBA then??? The NBA didn't care about allowing a known racist running a diverse team back then, lol. Since 1981 to be exact - Longer than any other NBA owner in history. Last night, Comm. Silver had a conference call with dozens of players and reps who basically said if he didn't ban him, they would boycott (not play). They forced his hand and thus you have the events which took place today. Again, if the whole point of banning Donald Sterling was to remove any vestige of racism and bigotry from the NBA, then my question is - Why was the NBA fine with it up until today? Again, this is not something new. Second, if this is the new standard - Should everyone who is associated with the NBA be held accountable and banned if caught saying something racist or bigoted? Coaches, NBA execs, Players? All of them? I guarantee you one thing...He is NOT the only racist in the NBA. Oh, and ya...He ain't selling. At least not without a fight.

I dont deny anything you said above except he will be forced to sell. His bigotry wasnt causing the NBA money until said convo. As a new commissioner, how would you have managed this crisis? dudes 3 months in with a scandal and major public backlash. Youd just ignore it? Id love to hear your alternative

No one denies public backlash got us here today and no one denies it was a private convo and hes entitled to say those things

Whining ?? Nah bro not whining having an adult conversation. I could have said it better than rmkblades. The players are hypocrites.... this is not new news regarding this guy yet they all signed there contracts with out blinking an eye. Again I ask you why is what he did so bad and for tje record I dont feel bad for anyone involved. .. just amazing how this country is changing. How would you feel if your employer penalized you for something you said to your wife at home ?

My suggestion is sterling spend a small portion of his fortune having professional investigators follow the 12 players from each NBA team gathering all kinds of evidence on their illegal activities as well as all their cheating on the road behind their wives backs & then make a deal to release it publicly all at once to expose the NBA for what it is & the players for what they are.
