I am looking at purchasing this adult EBJD and would like your thoughts or comments. The seller says it is 8". I will be putting it into my new 100 gallon setup that currently has 3 -- two year old Clown Loaches. I have another 4" EBJD that I have purchased but is not in the tank yet and is being held for my pickup. What do you think? Should I buy this 8" EBJD? The private seller says it is 2 1/2 years old. It seems large for that age! The asking price is $100. Your comments please and thank you!

This is not an EBJD - looks like normal, but has amazing coloration. And I agree, he does look OLD - maybe had some bad run-ins with his face a little scarred up. I won't give a recommendation on the price, not sure.

Looks good to me. Great color and patterns, fins are looking great. The only drawback is that it seems that the price of juvi EBJD's has come down significantly in the last year or so. That said, it is one of the better looking adults that I have seen. Go for it.

^^ jag123, your off your rocker. That is a EBJD i believe. Sensible price, too

No, it IS an EBJD and at $100, if you want it, get it. If I wanted a fish and it was hard to find large, had tons of issues being grown out etc, and I found one 8.5 inches, Id pay $100 for it easily.

:headbang2 score!

Must certainly be a rare fish to find that large, because honestly I haven't seen one that beefy before. I love a good education.

I think it is definitly more than 2 years old but they live long and itis GORGUS! and a great size. No need to keep buying juvis and trying to keep them alive.

that looks pretty good! and at $100 how can you refuse? Iv only ever seen EBJDs 2 or 3 inches selling where i am in the uk for £50-60 so thats like $75-90.
