im planning on getting a phyton but i heard some bad things about it. first does the adapter on it break really easily cause its plastic? i was looking at the store and some of them had a brass top. so did phyton upgrade it? and how do you refill the aquarium water because its straight from tap? wont that kill the beneficial bacteria and harm the fish?

I love my python. Mine had a plastic part that did brake but I easily replaced it with a more sturdy metal part from home depot. When filling match the temp. then add water to the tank while adding declor every couple of minutes. Ive done this for years and have never had anything happen to my fish or bacteria. The exposure to the untreated water is to short to effect the tank chemically. Just be sure to let the water bubble over or splash into the tank to let the water "de-gas".

Get a python, greatest thing since sliced bread!!!Just watch your temp and ad dechlorinater while filling and all should be fine

Without my python, I am lost in a world of spilling water and buckets.

Tanks on all 3 floors of my house.........Yeah I would quit keeping fish if it was not for my Python!!!:D :headbang2 ;)

Yep, I would die without my PYTHON!!! They Rock!!
