Should I get this IT?

Gage, that fish needs fattening up big time. If it's on pellets , it cant be many. The tummy should be nice and plump.
 
I agree, should be more plump at that size. If you really want it make sure he eats while you're there, no reason he should be thin if he's eatin like a champ, unless he's sick.
 
dosent look 11", and is a bit skinny, but the colors look good. i would say $250 is a bit steep, if you really want it, i would ask to knock that price down a bit...
 
What anyone buying a IT needs to know is just because it's nice and stable in someone else's tank doesn't mean it will be the same in yours
The slightest thing can change a IT from stable to unstable and the other way around
This is the main reason that when I look at a tank full of IT I don't buy the one that's most stable I buy the one with the best stripes
If you would still be happy paying $250 for this IT if it was fully black then buy it if not don't
For me the stripes are not what I would call nice and the both on both sides so I wouldn't buy it no matter what the price as I like my stripes the same on both sides
 
Look stable but quite skinny, overall still look fine to me.

No, I would not at that asking price.

Fattening it up can be done, but the unsymmetrical stripes can't be changed. I really prefer my tigers to have symmetrical stripes, don't have to be clean stripes but must be symmetrical. Just my preference.

[Also, it's only a hobby, so I wouldn't buy a fish if I had to make payments on it. The only purchase that I ever had to make payments on was my house.]
 
i have seen many IT this stable when they need food bad like this one you have a good chance that when its full of food it wont be this stable
