I am starting to get bored of my P's. I've had them for about a year. Got them when they were still see through. haha. Now they are all about 6 inches. They are still skittish. I cant stand in front of the tank without them banging against the glass. I always have to creep up to the tank to feed them and do any maintenance on the tank.

Is there any reason I should keep these 10 guys? if not then I am going to sell them and get a jardini.

if you want reasons why to keep them, you're not asking the right people. its all a matter of what you think of them

whether or not you keep a certain type of fish is up to you.. not up to what people think on a forum..

they are YOUR fish. YOU take care of them.. YOU should be able to decide whether or not you like them..

id take your fish and put them on a jardini diet haha( meaning id feed them a jardini arowana every once in awhile) just for laughs. ha

The reason you're considering "getting rid" of your reds
is they're skittish? Have you done any research on the two?
There are suggestions out there to help w/ skittish rbp's,..
Hate to see you part with them and regret it later,..

here is my current setup

i know im a bit overstocked but i've seen a few people on here with 10 in a 125.
I'll give these guys a few more months and wait until aro season comes a long. i'll probably decide then.

It's a nice set up you have there m8. I would suggest painting or covering the back and sides of the tank, which would darken the tank which will help the skittish of the reds. Also put some more plants or something for them to hide if they do get skitted out. Maybe get rid of about half of them, that would give the others more room as they grow, remember reds can grow to 9 to 10 inches. This is only my opinion.

Anyway good luck on what ever you decide.

it's up to u to if u want to keep them or not but just to add tocjs4873's post try adding a large pleco or small cheap fish(after quarintineing) into the tank after i did my 4 reds were allot more social (instead of hiding in a corner)
