Should I kill my fish?

my super red arowana is gill curled (got it from a petshop that way) and currently housed in a friend's tank

As for my ST / CT (my avatar), it's REALLY REALLY controversial, some say it's a ST, some say it's a CT, and some even say it's an IT...

Up till this day, I still don't know what it is, nobody got an definite answer >.<' When people are uncertain, they won't buy it!

Gill curl or not it's fixable. Also that Dat in your avatar 100% isn't a IT.

I would assume at a fair price. But even for sale at a fair price in this hobby many ppl are way too cheap to pay the actual price for these fish imo. Usually they get sold at half of what u want for them. I've sold many monsters back then and never get fair prices for them. Ppl always wait it out til u give in at cheap prices.

Just give them away! Wtf? I gave a member on here an 11 inch L-600 pleco for free that was valuable. I have given many fish away for free that is what hobbyist do. Let the fish shop make the money because that is what they do,

This is making me sick just reading what you are planning on doing to these fish.

Very disgusting. You are a hobbyist. Not a retailer. The point is not to make money off these fish. Just because you had one bad experience doesn't mean the next one will be. You can always ask background questions, go over make sure of their current stock and other measures if that makes you feel better.

Killing these fish will not help your situation and won't solve the problem.

I take fish very seriously, especially cat fish. What else would you consider killing if you could no longer afford it?

Not wanting anything bad to happen to your fish should be motivation to help you get out of your slump. We all need a little kick in the but every once in a while.

It is unfortunate that you have fallen upon hard times and can not afford to keep your fish. Hope things improve in the future. It also seems that you have hit the wall in the hobby and no longer wish to do the maintenance involved in keeping a living thing alive. With that said, it is time for you to exit the hobby. The hobby is not about making money. It is about keeping a living animal alive in the best possible fashion. Killing the fish because someone might possibly sell them and make a profit is asinine.
