Should i pack fishkeeping in?

Wow man I had no Idea you were so young, if I were you I wouldn't pack it in because you would probably regret it later. I miss snakes I have sold, even ones that bit me to shreds lol.

How come you are downsizing the hobby? If it is because of burnouts, there is probably a few members on this forum that can help out.

I have downsized due to problems with utility, food and personal relations... and everytime I regret it.

I have to agree with what everyone is saying here, I would suggest going down to 1 or 2 tanks right now but clean and store your equipment for now, slowly you will want to set them back up again. If you give everything up you will sorely regret it in the long run.

Bruce, I'm really impressed. I've taught my share of autistic students at the high school level, high functioning enough to be mainstreamed into some or all "regular" classes. It can be a difficult condition to diagnose; my cousin's son is severly autistic.
I really think it may help to just sit down with a pad of paper, draw a line down the center, and write down your pros and cons of downsizing, and "sit" on them a few days. Keeping all of your equipment is a must, because if you regain your passion for fishkeeping you'll still have it, as several others have already mentioned. The cost for restarting . . . well, we all know that side of it. As has been suggested, perhaps focus on just one tank for a while to allow yourself to explore other things. 15 is a great age for widening one's view and experience of the world.
Best of luck with a tough decision. Will be thinking of you . . . . .

the only reason to pack everything in, is because you are giving me everything for free...:ROFL::ROFL:

if not then there is no escape!!! :nilly::grinno:

Don't give it all up, keep your tanks and equipment in storage. Just downsize. You will want to come back to the hobby someday.

Ive made the mistake my self and sold everything, i have now spent years trying to get it all back. I read your post and i've seen your pictures, dude you love fish as much as the rest of us. I would just shut some down for a while till that special fish catches your eye at the LFS and you know it will.
Good luck
Thanks for the nice words.
