Here's the story. I recently got a new 253 gallon tank. It's sitting where the former 135 was and no sorry, I can't keep both. The 135 had a breeding pair of Festae. For the new tank, I was going to do an aggressive Central American community setup...that's where the Festae are out of place. Here's what I want to stock:
Amphilophus Trimaculatus
Amphilophus Labiatus or other Amphilophus sp.
Vieja Argentea
Vieja Synspilium
Nandopsis tetracanthus or Herichthys Carpintis Escondido (or both)
Parachomis Managuense
6 Barbus Filamentosis
3 Red Hooks
So I put it to you, my fellow MFK'rs. What should I do?
1. Sell them. They'll be out of place and ruin the C/A theme.
2. Keep them...they're beautiful fish. You should be ashamed of yourself for even considering option 1.
3. Just keep the female? How could you let her go? Look at her amazing beauty.
4. Just keep the male. Forget the female...males get bigger and meaner.
